MONTREAT, NC (September 27, 2008) -- The Montreat Cavaliers' JV soccer team snagged their first win of the season Saturday with a 1-0 win over The University of the Cumberlands.  Goal keeper Aaron Kimball played a great game racking up several saves in the first and second halves and securing his first shutout of the JV season so far.  The Cavaliers defensive line consisting of players Steve Nelson, Colby Monaghan, Eric Bowers, and Nathan Dimmock played an amazingly physical game challenging every ball and making an undeniable contribution to the win with their tough play.  Jesus Chipuli netted Montreat's only goal in the second half.  Receiving the ball off a deflection from the Cumberland's defense, he easily placed the ball into the side netting to obtain the win for the Cavaliers.
