2008-09 Reserves-Men's Soccer Season Outlook
This year represents a challege across the board for our guys.  Every game they play they are the underdog.  Whether it is against seasoned athletes in the Asheville league or the JV teams from NCAA Division II opponents, every game represents a significant challenge.  But where there is great opportunity, there is great reward.  This years lineup is the strongest its ever been in its three year history.  With seven returners and eight newcomers Montreat's JV soccer is poised to take a shot at the giants.

"Last year, we didn't get off to the best start.  But with hard work throughout the year, and great individual effort, the guys were able to finish strong in their season and took that momentum into their indoor season, where they finished second in the league." said coach Riccardi.  "I want to build off of the passion and work ethic we gained last year to push us to that next level as a team."

Montreat's JV soccer plays in the Men's Open Division in Asheville and also plays games against powerhouse Wingate University, Anderson University, and Cumberlands University.  It will no doubt be an exciting season.
