The new season of 2008-09 brings excitement and anticipation for the men's and women's golf programs at Montreat College.

On the women's side, the Cavaliers are also young with two juniors, one sophomore, one redshirt freshman and three true freshmen on the roster.  Juniors Ashley Mitcham (Waynesville, NC) and Aimee Turner (China Grove, NC) have played in every tournament the Lady Cavaliers have played in the two year existence of the women's golf program.  Also returning is sophomore Caitlin Dempsey (Brandford, Florida).  New faces for the Lady Cavaliers this year is redshirt freshman Courtney Brown (Shelby, NC), Brittany Zachrich (Hickory, NC), and Savanna Biggs (Lambertville, MI).  Zachrich finished in 10th place in the NC State High School Golf Championship last fall and Biggs finished last season in Michigan as a First Team All State Golfer, leading her team to the team championship.  

Head Coach David Pennell is definitely excited about going into the upcoming season with full roster and returning experience.
