The Montreat Cavalier Volleyball program would like to announce the signing of Mallory Baker for the 2012 Cavalier team. Baker, is a 5'11" middle/outside from Milford, Ohio.

[Track and Field] Cavaliers Start Strong at Indoor Track Meet

Eight runners from Montreat's Track and Field program competed at ETSU's Niswonger Invitational, a two day indoor track and field event. Leading off Friday morning was sophomore hurdler, Katelyn Lukacena, who ran the 60 meter hurdles in 9.88 seconds, finishing third in her heat. Junior Team Captain, Billy Parker, followed Lukacena with a 9.06 in the 60 meters hurdles. Parker had a rough start, but displayed excellent form and finished strong, also placing 3^rd in his heat. Later in the afternoon freshman, DeAndre Young and sophomore, Jordan Lukacena closed out the day in the 400 meter race. Young battled tendinitis, but pulled out a strong 51.12, placing 2^nd in his heat, and 12^th overall in field of nearly 80 athletes. Lukacena ran a 57.27.
