I could not be more proud of Anna, she has excelled in so many ways.  Anna was the 2008 Most Improved Player for Montreat College Women's Volleyball.  I feel that I could use her in any position and she would perform outstanding, her growth and improvement makes her so versatile.  She loves to play, loves to be on the court, loves to pound the ball and loves to make a great dig. She has definitely worked hard this past year and I'm excited to see how it will pay off for her on the court.  I've also seen such growth in Anna spiritually; it shows up in her love for the team and willingness to put team before self. We will be looking for Anna to fill the middle blocker role this season.  I have no doubt she will do an excellent job.

 
2008 HIGHLIGHTS

As a freshman, collected 215 kills, 628 attacks, 128 digs, and 71 blocks for the Cavs....Career highs in blocks with 7 against Mars Hill College, digs with 13 against Virginia Intermont College, and kills with 12 against North Greenville.

What's your favorite non athletic hobby?
Hanging out with friends.

What do you like to do in your spare time? 
I like to spend time with my family, hang out with my friends, play basketball, go to the beach, help coach volleyball to kids at my old highschool, watch college basketball and football, and listen to music.

What are your pets and what are their names?
I have one dog named snowflake

Favorite thing about MC?
My favorite thing about Montreat are the people and the location! Not only is it beautiful but you really are free to be yourself and are presented with so many oppurtunites to increase your faith and learn about God.

Favorite thing about MC VB?
My favorite thing about Montreat volleyball is definitely our passion and intensity. We all have one common goal in mind. To be the best but at the same time giving God the glory and playing for Him!

Favorite author?
My favorite author is George Orwell.

Hopes for after college?
After College, I would like to get my masters in Biology or Earth Sciences at North Carolina State University.

Funniest Montreat moment?
My funniest moment at Montreat College was at our volleyball camp during the summer. We were staying at the black mountain cabins. On of the last nights, me, Natalie, and one of the other recruits got back to the cabins before any of the girls and decided it was our chance to finally scare Allie B. We had been wanting to get her back for all the times she had scared us but always failed at scaring her. We gathered a whole bunch of sticks and as we heard her and a few of the other girls pull up we starting breaking the sticks and making it sound like a bear was in the woods. You could hear them screaming their heads off. As they slowly walked up to the cabin door we jumped out of the woods and totally got her. It was priceless.
