COACH JACKSON'S NOTES ON ALICIA
Alicia, at 6-2, will provide a great foundation in the center position.   "We run a lot to through the post.  She's got a great build and great hands.  For us, she is a huge asset.  She plays with her back to the basket, which I think is a lost art."  Wallace helped her North Surry team to an 18-2 record, and a perfect Mountain Valley record of 12-0.  She's been named to the All-Mountain Valley Conference team the past two years.  She was heavily recruited by Converse, Pfieffer, and Campbell; however, it was the Lady Cavalier team and Montreat's picturesque campus that impressed her. 
 

Alicia averaged 7.42 points, 4.58 rebounds and 1.45 blocks per game last season.  She had a season high of 18 points against Brevard College (1/5/2009).  Her season high rebounds of 11 were against both Covenant College (1/10/2009) and Bluefield College (2/25/2009), also 5 blocks against Bluefield on the same night.  Alicia is ranked #25 in NAIA Div II in total blocks with 45 and #32 in blocks per game with 1.452.
