Janel averaged 10.84 points, 2.19 rebounds, 5.81 assists, and 1.87 steals per game last season. Her career single game high of 22 points was against Virginia Intermont College (1/26/2008), where she went a perfect 10-10 from the charity stripe. Her career single game high in assists came against University of the Ozarks (11/24/2007) where she dished out 11 assists. Janel also collected two double doubles last season in scoring and assists against Piedmont Baptist College (11/8/2007) and University of the Ozarks. Cox led the AAC and ranked # 2 in NAIA Div II in free throw percentage with 87.6 percent, she ranked #5 in steals, #2 in AAC and #4 in NAIA Div II in assists, and #11 in double doubles (2).
