Travis Little enters his sixth season as the Cavaliers Head Baseball Coach.  Upon arriving at Montreat College in 2004 the Cavaliers saw a significant change under Coach Little, accumulating a startling 42-8 record, earning a #12 NAIA national ranking.

Since then, the Cavalier baseball program has averaged 36 wins per season year while reaching the Region XII Tournament three out of four years.  In 2007 the Cavaliers finished as runner-ups in the AAC, in route to their fourth consecutive 30-plus game winning season.

Prior to coming to Montreat College, Coach Little began his head coaching career at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.  While there, Little also led his team to Region IV runner-up, a conference championship, and a conference runner-up the following year.  As a head coach, Little has compiled a record of 192-86 (.691).  This past spring, Little earned his 200th victory.

During the summer months, Little extended his success while coaching in the Coastal Plain League, a select summer collegiate league, with the Gastonia Grizzlies.  Under Little, the Grizzlies won 3 out of 6 Divisional Championships, all the while being recognized as the "Organization of the Year" in 2003.  Since 2002, Coach Little has also been an associate scout with the New York Yankees.

Little received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Pfeiffer University and completed his Master of Science in Education from Nova Southeastern University.  Coach Little and his wife Norma currently reside in Black Mountain.  They welcomed their first child, a daughter, Haley Alyse in July.
