Aron entered Montreat College in 1992 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in English education four years later. He made the Dean's List every semester and served as President of the Montreat chapter of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. He was on the conference All-Academic team for three years and was selected an NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete his junior and senior years.

After Graduation
Upon graduation, he accepted a position as JV boys basketball coach at East Lincoln High School. The next year, he was named the Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach and teacher at his alma mater, Bandys High School. Over the next five seasons he led Bandys to the most wins in school history (18) and their first trip to the state playoffs in ten years.
Aron has recently given up coaching and is now serving as the principal of the Springs Academy in Barium Springs, NC. He is married to the former Amanda Smyre and they have recently had their first child, Trysten.
