The Montreat men's basketball team beat newcomer Point University 92-89 on Saturday. The Cavs move to 3-1 in conference play while improving their overall record to 7-7. This puts the Cavaliers tied for 3^rd place in the conference. 

Montreat never led in the contest until the last 2:30 minutes of the game and went into the half trailing by six, 41-47. They were down by as much as 13 points at one point in the game, but with good execution and steady defense they fought back for the win.

The Cavs play at home against Bluefield College on Wednesday night, January 11 at 7:30.
