Montreat's Mykiea Russell scored seven of her eleven points in the last 2:00 of the game, including a jumper with .2 seconds remaining to lift the Cavaliers to a 65-63 victory over 19th ranked Union College. Russell hit a driving jumper to put Montreat up 63-60, but Union's Kara Pyle answered back with a desperation 3-pt shot to tie the game at 63 before Russell's heroics ended the contest.

     Each team swapped leads in a tightly contested contest. Montreat went into the locker room with a 35-32 lead at the half, and the second half was more of the same with Union claiming the biggest lead of the night at 5.

     Ebony Battle led the Cavaliers with 19 points, while Mykiea Russell and Kaitlyn Clontz had 11 points each.

     The 13th ranked Cavaliers are back in action Saturday, as they travel south to take on Point University at 1:00 p.m.
