Wilbourn Kosgei earned this week's AAC Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for his Citadel Cross Country victory this weekend in Charleston, SC.  With less than half a mile remaining in the race, Kosgei used a late race surge to capture his first individual title of the season.

"My back was a little sore," said Kosgei. "But I wanted to win for my team today, so I kicked hard to win the race."

Kosgei led the Montreat Cavaliers to a third place finish in the D-II division of the Citadel XC Invitational.  He is one of the reasons Montreat is currently ranked third in the AAC's cross country poll.
