Katleyn Martin
On November 24, the Lady Cavaliers picked up the tremendous addition of Katelyn Martin for the 2011-2012 softball season.

Daughter of Mike and Brandy Martin, the Asheville Native from Erwin High School is talented both on and off the field holding a 3.6 GPA and many athletic accolades as an infielder. Martin has led her team offensively with an overall batting average of .431 and helped her team advance to the third round of the playoffs for the first time in school history with a playoff batting average of .667. The Lady Cavs look forward to what she has to offer in the future.

Katelyn's thoughts on Montreat, "My heart has been at Montreat since my first visit. I am so proud to become a part of a great softball program. The first time I met Coach Swanson, Coach Payne and the team I knew where I was meant to be. I am also looking forward to my educational experience with a up close and personal atmosphere that Montreat has to offer me."

Martin looks to major in Elementary Education and Psychology.

Coach Swanson has this to say about Katelyn:
"Katelyn is a solid player. We can't wait to see what how she will benefit our team both athletically and academically. We believe she will fit the mold of our team nicely as well as look forward to utilizing her ties in the community in hopes of becoming more involved."
