The Montreat College men's soccer coaching staff has announced the signing of Brandon Hageman, a versatile offensive and defensive player who will join the Cavaliers soccer team for the fall 2010 season.
Hageman is from McKinney, TX and is the son of David and Angela Hageman. He was a standout player for McKinney Boyd High School where he received Team Offensive Player of the Year (2008) and 5-A All District First Team (2009). Brandon also played for the prominent club team Dallas Texans Red (2007-2010) and helped lead his team to the Dallas Cup Super Group (2009) and a State Cup Championship (2008). His team was State Cup Runner-Up in 2009 and 2010.
Head Coach Brenton Benware is excited for the addition of Hageman: "I believe Brandon will have a great impact on our program over the next several years. He brings playing experience from a competitive level, and he's a wonderful talent. He's also versatile on the field and will likely play a handful of positions as a Cavalier. More importantly, Brandon brings a great attitude and a desire for team chemistry to our squad."
Hageman had the following to say about choosing Montreat College. "I loved the way I was treated during my visit and how everyone helped me feel a part of the school and the soccer team. I felt at home on the campus and knew this was where I wanted to go to college. I can't wait to get started and have a great first season."
