Rhinehart signs with Montreat
The Montreat College Lady Cavaliers Softball program announces the signing of Waynesville native Alecia Rhinehart.
 
Rhinehart, an All-State catcher / short stop out of Tuscola High School, will be donning the Montreat uniform in the 2010-2011 season. Alecia is the daughter of Freda and James Robinson and James and Linda Rhinehart.
 
Alecia joins the Lady Cavs with a high school batting average of .412, 37 RBI's (single season record), 5 homeruns (single season record), and a .996 fielding percentage. She will bring tremendous skill and consistency to the roster.
 
Alecia says, "I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to play softball at Montreat. Montreat has a great atmosphere for both learning and playing sports. I can't wait to start the next chapter in my life at Montreat."
 
Head Coach Lee Swanson says, "Alecia is a vibrant and skillful player. She's going to bring a lot to the team both offensively and defensively. She really fits right in with the character we are trying to portray as a team."
 
Rhinehart is planning to major in Elementary Education.
