The Cavs didn't disappoint the rowdy Homecoming crowd last Saturday as they downed conference opponent UVA-Wise for the second time this year. The Cavs won in five sets, 22-25,25-23,14-25,25-22,15-11. The win brings the Cavs overall record to 15-8, with an 8-2 AAC record, good enough for third place, behind Bryan and Union Colleges.

Natalie Nieman led the team in assists, with 29, while also contributing 3 aces. Senior Lyndsey Wall had 17 assists on the night. Alyssa Kaufman rang up 9 kills and 16 digs in the contest. Allie Baumgartner recorded 17 kills, leading the Lady Cavs, and later earning Hitter of the Week for the AAC. Allie also had 15 digs, three solo blocks and two block assists. Hannah Bostic was again a key offensive player with 11 kills, and her defense -- two solo blocks and two block assists -- also led to the win for the Cavaliers.

The Lady Cavaliers take on Virginia Intermont in McAlister Gym tomorrow night, October 6th, at 6:30 P.M.
