TIGERVILLE, SC (September 19, 2009) -- The Montreat College women's volleyball traveled to NCAA Division II opponent, North Greenville University on Saturday for non-conference action.  It was a back and forth battle, but North Greenville came out on top in the fifth game 16-14 to take the match. 

The Crusaders one game one 25-18, but Montreat bounced back to take game two and three 27-25 and 19-25.  North Greenville captured game four 25-19, and took game five 16-14.

Montreat was led by sophomore Anna Stephenson with 12 kills and by sophomore transfer Ellen Goodman will 11 kills, three aces, and 18 digs.  Junior Allie Baumgartner chipped in 10 kills, while senior Lyndsey Wall and sophomore Natalie Nieman added 18 assists each.  Wall also had three aces for the match.

Montreat moves to 10-6 for the season and will return home on Friday, September 25 to face AAC opponent Tennessee Wesleyan.  Game time is set for 6:30 pm.
