The Cavaliers again faced off against tough competition in the final round of the 2009 Union College Fall Bulldog Invitational. The ladies finished 3rd out of four teams this week, and the men took 4th out of five teams competing. The tournament was played at Wasioto Winds State Park Golf Course in Pineville, KY. The final team and individual results were:

The men's team finished 4th out of five teams, with rounds of 332-317=645.  Socres for the men's team:

Brandon Craven-(Fr., Hendersonville, NC), 82-75=157.  Brandon tied for 7th place in the tournament.
Sean McKaig-(Jr., Columbus, NC), 80-79=159.  Sean tied for 9th place.
Preston Karup-(Fr., Aredn, NC), 85-78=163.  Preston tied for 15th place.
Jake Petersen-(Fr. Atlanta, GA), 86-85=171.
Patrick Ballew-(Sr. Gloucester, VA), 85-86=171.  Patrick and Jake tied for 23rd place.

Linzy Cook-(Fr. Boone, NC), 90-92=182.  Linzy finished in 7th place.
Ashley Mitcham-(Sr. Waynesville, NC), 91-93=184.  Ashley finished in 8th place.
Caitlin Dempsey-(Jr. Bradford, FL.), 96-91=187.  Caitlin finished in 10th place.
Hannah Glenn-(Jr. Morganton, NC), 105-93=198.  Hannah finished 15th.
Morgan Morrow-(Fr. Burnsville, NC), 101-98=199.  Morgan finished in 16th place.
Julie White, (Fr. Fletcher, NC, playing as an indivdual), 105-102=207.  Julie finished 19th.
Martha Turpin-(Fr. Sylva, NC, playing as an individual), 112-101=213.  Martha finished 21th.

The next tournament will be September 14-15 at the Glen Cannon Country Club in Brevard, NC for the Montreat College Fall Invitational.  The tournament has 18 teams entered in the event.
