Lincoln Walters, Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach at Montreat College, proudly announces the addition of Jarquise Lucas to the roster for the 2009-2010 season. Lucas, a recent graduate of NW Guilford High School where he played under Coach Manny Bloom, is the son of Kareem Lucas and Greta Davis. Jarquise is a 6'3", 170 pound Shooting Guard / Strong Forward.

Lucas served as the Team Captain his senior year of play at NW Guilford, where he averaged 12 PPG and 4 RPG over his career. Jarquise clearly has scoring potential, racking up 25 points in one high school contest and setting a career high.

Bloom, his high school coach says, "Jarquise is the type of player that would run through a brick wall if you ask him to.  He's athletic, he's going to do what you ask him, and he's going to do it as hard as he can!"

Coach Walters says,
"We're looking for players like Jarquise, guys that are coachable, that work as hard as they can, and want to be here!  We can't wait to see what Jarquise is going to bring to our program."
