Jonathan Hubbard gathers with new and former coaches, family to sign with the Cavaliers
Jonathan Hubbard, a small forward from West Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, NC has signed with Montreat College to play basketball in the 2009-2010 season. He is the son of Jerry Hubbard and Tammy Leatherman and plans to major in History at Montreat College.
Hubbard averaged 4.7 points per game in high school, along with 1.2 boards per game. His shooting ability will definitely come into play this season: he has been a 40% three point shooter and averaged 45% from the field overall.

Jonathan's high school coach, Karl Sain, says, "Jonathan has incredible character.  He is a really good leader who understood his role very well. He is highly motivated and a hard worker. An absolute joy to coach."

Hubbard says, "I am glad to have the opportunity to be astudent-athlete in college.  I am excited about attending a small Christian college and being given the opportunity to play basketball."

Head Men's Basketball Coach Jonathan Bennett says, "I am excited about adding Jonathan to our JV squad next year.  He is a perfect fit for our program and institution and I look forward to watching Jonathan progress both on and off the court in the upcoming years."
