KINGSPORT, TN (April 29, 2009) -- In yesterday's opening round of the AAC Softball Tournament in Kingsport, TN, team and individual awards were announced.

Four Lady Cavaliers were honored by receiving AAC All-Conference nods.  Seniors Amber Summerow and Amy Vogel were selected to the All-Conference team, including teammates Rachel Stowe and Tameron Sealey. 

Covenant College was choses as Champions of Character.  Haley Odle from Virginia Intermont was selected as Player of the Year, Sidney Burns from Milligan was selected as Pitcher of the Year, and Coach Wes Holly from Milligan was selected as Coach of the Year.
