Ashley attends and plays varsity soccer for Bartlesville High School in Bartlesville, OK. The team is coached by Hosteen Walsh. At Bartlesville HS she was Scholar Athlete and the teams Co-Captain for 2009. Ashley also played club for Bartlesville Futbol Club and is coached by Paul Rummage.
Ashley says of making Montreat College her choice "It's so different then Oklahoma! The mountains are so beautiful and the town is so cute. I feel like because God is bringing me 15 hours away from my home to a school, I didn't know a thing about a couple of months ago that He has definitely got a plan for my life and I am so excited to find out what it is. Soccer wise I hope my speed and aggression will help Montreat College have less goals scored on them and get more goals scored for us up top."
Coach Maples says of Ashley "She is a very aggressive player on defense, but in a smart way. She is fast and takes the physical challenges to win balls in the air and through great pressure on the ball early will help us get into transition and that can equal into more goals for us as we attack quick." "Ashley truly loves the Lord and wants his direction. Beyond soccer, she is a great fit for the type of student athlete I want representing womens soccer at Montreat. Ashley fit in with our team as soon as she come on campus." Once again God has brought to us a great representative to our team, school and community. We welcome Ashley and her family to our Montreat College family.
